I M Madras

GPA was asked to design the interiors for I.M.MADRAS – a south Indian restaurant which is located near Vijay cross roads, Ahmedabad.  We were asked to design café and restaurant in the same space keeping in mind that the space will be open from morning to serve filter coffee to mid-day lunch and dinner meals.

Entire restaurant was designed keeping in mind the themes of south India. The café and restaurant is divided visually into two with the rattan jaali screen in between. Café has lighter tone with the use of few minimal colors in the furniture whereas the restaurant has more vibrant colors. There is also a private dining area created at the back of the restaurant.
