Private House_01

The residence in the Gulbai Tekra area of the city takes on elements of traditional pol
living(traditional Ahmedabad house type) with a covered courtyard at the centre of the
house as well as taking elements from surrounding houses with tapered columns, and in the materials used. The design comprises of 2 boxes, one on top of the other. The lower, lighter structure being a light concrete glazed frame whilst the upper heavy structure is a brick enclosed box with narrow horizontal and vertical apertures.
